Plataforma is a residential project located in Plataforma, Oaxaca, a coastal neighbourhood defined by its proximity to the Pacific Ocean. The project consists of three independent casitas conceived as a shared living arrangement for a group of friends, balancing individual privacy with collective outdoor spaces.
Each casita is designed as a compact dwelling organized vertically. Bedrooms are located on the ground floor, creating a more enclosed and private environment, while the upper level opens into living, dining, and kitchen spaces that connect directly to light, air, and distant views. This arrangement allows daily life to unfold in elevated, open areas while maintaining quiet and protected sleeping spaces below.
The three units are positioned to create a series of shared gardens and a central pool area, encouraging moments of gathering while preserving clear boundaries between each dwelling. In addition to these communal spaces, every casita includes a private rear garden, reinforcing a sense of personal retreat within the larger composition.
The project explores a way of living that allows for proximity without overlap, where architecture supports both independence and coexistence. Through simple volumes and a clear spatial strategy, Plataforma offers a calm and flexible residential environment closely tied to the coastal landscape of Oaxaca.
