C-1 is a residential project in Oaxaca composed of a primary house and two independent bungalows, conceived to accommodate both family use and short-term rental. The project explores flexibility as a spatial and programmatic strategy, allowing the property to function as a private residence while also supporting shared or productive use.

The main house is defined by a more solid and grounded volume that rises from the terrain, establishing a sense of permanence and enclosure at the lower level. The ground floor accommodates two secondary bedrooms, a TV room, kitchen, and living and dining areas, all organised around a series of private patios that create controlled connections between interior and exterior spaces while maintaining intimacy.

In contrast, the upper level introduces a more open and expansive condition. The main bedroom is designed as a permeable space with 360-degree exposure to the surrounding landscape. Adjustable wooden persianas wrap the perimeter, allowing light, air, and views to be carefully regulated while providing privacy when needed.

The two bungalows are positioned as independent units within the site, offering additional accommodation for guests or rental use while maintaining separation from the main house.

C-1 reflects an approach to residential architecture that balances solidity and openness, permanence and adaptability, creating a flexible living environment shaped by climate, privacy, and evolving patterns of use.
