Casa Ave Cumaná C-7 is a family home in Oaxaca, Mexico, built for people living between two countries. The house is designed for a family just starting out, and built to grow with them. Two rooms open directly onto the pool-entrance terrace. Two more sit on the ground floor of the main structure. A great room rises above them, and on the roof, an open terrace with a lightweight pergola offers space for yoga, grilling, or simply sitting under the tree canopy. Nothing about the layout is fixed; the house is meant to evolve as the family does, through the early years and whatever comes next.
